8 Life Concepts Most of Us are Hard-Headed About.. #podcast

I walk in spirit with God's wind at my back... I think out-loud and I share those thoughts with critical thinkers. Today we rant a bit. (24 minutes)

Let's Talk...

A funny thing happens when you progress/ in spite of those who attempted to oppress/ the lie that was told that you are less/ gets harder to digest/ especially when you become self aware that every fiber of your existence represents progress/ Funny how when you endure/ hell, high water & manure/ you may evoke the feelings of those who are insecure/

Let’s talk about it more..

When you represent progress/ you may cause pain to those who may have viewed success/ as a right of passage/ a privilege of the savage/ oppressors & over dressers/ who ain’t addressing shit/ that has to do with your well being/ Like you're three fifth’s of a human being/ that should be happy that their ancestors “saved” us from a life in the bush/ I guess we forget/ who cured Europeans of their chicken pox/ when the Moors told them “you shouldn’t have your live stock/ that close to your house” on the couch/ or anywhere else/ next to yourself/ or the ones you love for better health/

Let’s talk about wealth..

I have never had a problem making money/ Interesting that happiness was so elusive every time I sat on six figures/
No matter how nice the suit/ how clean the cut/ how big the brain/ or how nice my game/ I always felt a vibe that said the nerve of this nigger/
Coming in here with his big brain/ articulating game/ & the need for change/ I think he’s strange/ perhaps deranged/ watch out.. I’m scared of him/

The fact that he’s so comfortable/ makes me uncomfortable/ my insecurities make his security not trust him/ & personally I find it disgusting that I’m so focused on his blessings I cannot see my own/ I am reminded of his light every time I see his face/ so as a little just in case/ I do my best to keep him in his place/

Let’s talk about race..

When they think about race/ they think of the many shades of brown/ lust & thirst for tears of clowns/ but that’s simply not how Graffiti gets down/

When I think race I think of happiness as a goal line/ how love & fear can be experienced at the same time/ & how silence to injustice is greater than the actual crime ~

Double Feature Night!!! As an artist, as a mentor, as a student and as a man; I am to work with Dyvacat to provide events like this. We have 2 brilliant young men that are as dope and as raw than many young gunners I've seen thus far.

Iso The Poet & King Weez both capture raw talent at its essence. Both are rhythmic, both are melodic, both have a unique perspective they bring to the stage. Since they are bringing substance to the storehouse, why not pull out the fine China? We are bringing the "Boys to the Yard" with Rhythm & Poetry's 1st outdoor event!

One of the things I love about our new home at the Brazilian Center, is its incredible flexibility. Fully functional outdoor stage, benches and fire pits.. We Rock from 7:30pm - 10:30pm Rain or Shine we start on time.

Free Drink with online ticket purchase.

To Know/ To Grow/ To Flow

You are entering a land, not of sight, not of sound, but of desire/

The desire to know/ the desire to grow/ and the desire to flow/

here we go/

my wisdom of consciousness/ or at least the way I understand it/

is that a soul can chose to experience life as any form it pleases/ even as a planet/

So/

the desire to know/

would be satisfied when I experience what that must feel like/

to be the soul of the earth/ or of the sun/ or beyond thy kingdom come/

I could only use my imagination for now/ wow/

I just imagined myself as the sun shining golden rays on smiling faces/

giving life to billions of leafs/ on billions of trees/

lighting the way for humming birds that whisper in the breeze/

or to each other between sugary snacks/

so/ the desire to grow/

aspires to that/

ultimately I want to connect/ in a way that is raw/ beautiful/ sincere/ and honest/

I want to bend words like the pretzeled legs of limber lovers/

give those words to you in the form of lit candles/ you can take with you that light the way/

so/

the desire to flow/

is satisfied ever time I express this way ~

What If?

What if I told you that nine eleven was a hoax?/
& that most black folks wouldn’t take that statement for a joke?/

What if I told you that I’ve been around this big blue marble we call Earth one time thus far?/

What if I told you that every country has a ghetto?/What if I told you I was most comfortable when I walked through them?/

What if I told you I looked god square in the eyes? & that it looked like a sea of silver triangles connected by spinning moons?/

What if I told you that her eyes are the loveliest thing I have seen in this lifetime?/

What if I told you that there were no such thing as sin?/ and if there was such a thing as sin, this would be it: to allow yourself to become what you are because of the experience of others/

What if I told you the cure for cancer was on the internet in plain sight this whole time and has everything to do with nutrition?/

What if I told you that money was only a concept?/

What if I told you that the original feminist movement was propagated by rich men who wanted to tax the other half of the population that wasn’t working?/

What if I acknowledged and respected dark energy yet rejected the concept of a human manifesting enough power to keep the souls god created separated from her?/

What if I told you that you give power to every thought you think about?/

What if I told you that happiness was nothing more than your your soul smiling at itself?/
