Title: Levels
Project: Champagne Ethos 2
Producer: Valmond
Track Name: “Gully Walker”

Oh they’re so many levels/ different/
Like Stormtroopers and rebels/ different/
Like the bass and the treble/ different/
Like the “one” and the “two”

High level/ Low level/ Mid level/ Not on my level/
Ultimate level/ All the way up there/ God tier/
Top – Tier/ Mid – Tier/ Bottom – Tier/ I wonder/
Which one are you?/

They gave you seat at the table/
Hoping that you would be able/
To change the current condition/ of brothers in prison/
So where do we start?/

You said you would start a label/
And create a pilot for cable/
You talked and we listened/ You laid out your vision/
To weaponize art/

Using the positive images/ to change the algorithm/ in the villages/
blitzing the line/ where you find/ where the scrimmage is/
business/ is all black everything/ Huxtable style/

Making it blacker than space/
Or the eyebrows on your face/
no longer giving chase/
to a hand-out from whitey/ this is exciting/ everyone smiles/

No more unfair privileges/ People of color on screen at the cinemas/
Positive music for all of the listeners/ vision is/ limitless/
here we go/ we all believe!/

So we give you the bread/
Making you leader/
Soldiers need to be led/
Not realizing the Feds/
Heard everything that you said/
Most are naive /

Oh they’re so many levels/ different/
Like Stormtroopers and rebels/ different/
Like the bass and the treble/ different/
Like the “one” and the “two”

High level/ Low level/ Mid level/ Not on my level/
Ultimate level/ All the way up there/ God tier/
Top – Tier/ Mid – Tier/ Bottom – Tier/ I wonder/
Which one are you?/

Your the best rapper alive/
But no one one knows you’re alive/
Until you start coming outside/
Flames to every mic put in your face/

Now you’re going viral/
Everyone on the gram seems to like you/
Haters are trying to fight you/
Executives now invite you/ clearly/ they want a taste/

And every rapper you meet/
Knows your platinum in the streets/
Knows that your spitting heat/
And that they can’t compete/ so you’ve gotta go/

But this is nothing you know/
Until you come to the show/
and they catch you lacking/ like bro/
World Starr video/
Black Rob is gone/ But this is like………/

Oh they’re so many levels/ different/
Like Stormtroopers and rebels/ different/
Like the bass and the treble/ different/
Like the “one” and the “two”

High level/ Low level/ Mid level/ Not on my level/
Ultimate level/ All the way up there/ God tier/
Top – Tier/ Mid – Tier/ Bottom – Tier/ I wonder/
Which one are you?/

Footnote: I like to take rap lyrics and see if they can stand alone on paper. Without any reference of music, cadence or tempo, how does in sound in your head? How does it read? Is it clever? Is it rhythmic?
